The top trending instant messaging app on Apple app store and Google Play store is not Facebook, WhatsApp or Snapchat, neither is it Instagram. It’s a new app by Saudi Arabia developer ZainAlabdin Tawfiq called Sarahah app.
The app was launched in June and it has taking the internet by storm recently: It is currently the fourth top trending application in the Apple app store. On Google Play Store, the messaging application has now entered the “5,000,000-10,000,000” installs range. It even topped the list of free apps on Apple’s app store recently.
It’s a messaging app focused on privacy and trust which allows it users send one another anonymous messages.
The social network is patterned to let users send and receive honest feedback and learn what people think about you. Sarahah, which means “honesty or “candour” in Arabic, started life as a workplace feedback tool but was expanded after teens started using it on Snapchat. So far, the app has been downloaded in 25 countries across the globe.
Sarahah app helps you to discover your strengths and areas for improvement by receiving honest feedback from your employees and your friends in a private manner. With 4 million downloads and 15 million users, the app has a strong and reliable user base.
Why is Sarahah app trending on Google today?
Here are five things you should know about the new app:
- Anyone can leave you a feedback — if you let them.
- Sarahah won’t disclose the identity of the logged-in senders to users except with their approval.
- You don’t really follow users on Sarahah.
- Sarahah doesn’t steal data but websites and apps impersonating Sarahah could do that.
- Because of its anonymity feature, people are already complaining about negative comments.
